 June is celebrated as Pride month for the 2SLGBTQ+community and their allies (Two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, pansexual & other sexually & gender diverse identities). Celebrate pride this year through daily devotions created by clergy and laity throughout the Mountain Sky Conference and beyond! “Devoted with PRIDE,” these devotions offer a rich diversity of perspectives for how our faith can call us into a better understanding of ourselves and into better allyship and relationship with 2SLGBTQ+ folks in our midst. You can register at https://mtnsky-reg.brtapp.com/DevotedwithPRIDE to receive these devotions in your e-mail inbox throughout the month of June. These devotions will also be included on the Mountain Sky Ministry Crossroads as a Workshop. After joining the network (which you can do by clicking here), you can join the “Devoted with PRIDE June 2021” workshop to interact with others as you engage with each daily devotion. There will be a community debrief session hosted by Court VonLindern on June 27th at 7pm MST on Zoom. Details will be emailed closer to the event date. Hybrid worship We no longer require sign-ups for worship All are welcome! We have enough space for our summer crowd to still gather inside and practice physical distance from others. We still want people to mask inside, even if vaccinated Our reason is simply because not all of our worship participants (including children – a big part of our community!) aren’t vaccinated yet. We want to protect all participants, and provide a place of welcome and hospitality. As long as you’re masked indoors, you are welcome to SING! One big loss during this COVID season has been the caution against signing, as it is a high-risk activity. However, the newest CDC information and guidelines from our Mountain Sky Conference are that as long as you’re vaccinated and masked, the risk goes down significantly. We look forward to hearing your voices! Additionally, when the weather is nice, we will encourage BYOC (Bring Your Own Coffee) Fellowship time after worship in the courtyard! Father's Day Slideshow  To celebrate Father’s Day, send in pictures of your fathers, paternal figures and important men in your lives for a celebratory slideshow on Sunday, June 20th. Vacation Bible School  We are pleased and excited to announce that Washington Park United Methodist Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School ( VBS) this summer. With much discussion, planning and educating ourselves with COVID-19 safety standards and precautions, we feel secure and safe in hosting VBS for kids this summer in our church. We have had a successful preschool year and will use standards and precautions outlined by the state as we did so with the preschool program. Here are the highlights: Knights of the North Castle August 2nd-6th M-Th 9:00-11:30, F 9:00-12:15 Age: 3 (potty trained) through completed 6th grade. Cost is $40 per child with sibling discounts of $5 less per child. Please consider having your child(ren) spend some time with us this summer. Sign Up!   Studio/Office/Classroom Space for Rent Do you or someone you know need a studio space? Our 1133 sq. ft. classroom is perfect for music, dance, or a spacious office.
