JOIN US FOR HYBRID WORSHIP
  • We will no longer require sign-ups for worship. All are welcome! We have enough space for our summer crowd to still gather inside and practice physical distance from others.
  • We still want people to mask inside, even if vaccinated. Our reason is simply because not all of our worship participants (including children – a big part of our community!) aren’t vaccinated yet. We want to protect all participants, and provide a place of welcome and hospitality.
  • As long as you’re masked indoors, you are welcome to SING! One big loss during this COVID season has been the caution against signing, as it is a high-risk activity. However, the newest CDC information and guidelines from our Mountain Sky Conference are that as long as you’re vaccinated and masked, the risk goes down significantly. We look forward to hearing your voices!
Additionally, when the weather is nice, we will encourage BYOC (Bring Your Own Coffee) Fellowship time after worship in the courtyard!

HELP OTHERS AFTER A CHALLENGING YEAR
It has been a challenging year for many people. As we sheltered in place and traveled less, our homes became our offices, schools, theaters, place of worship, and a sanctuary from the chaos. Perhaps more than ever, we realized how important a stable, safe and “big enough” home is to every family.
With the skyrocketing prices for homes and apartments in the metro area, many parents are unable to provide a safe and affordable home. Due to these ever-increasing prices, hardworking and deserving parents must move their families again and again or live in crowded and unhealthy conditions. Thankfully, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver has assisted families in making a safe an affordable home a reality for over 41 years. During this most challenging year, Habitat’s mission and work has continued.

Once again, WPUMC has multiple opportunities to support Habitat in their critical work. You have a chance to make a difference! There are 3 different opportunities currently available.
  • Join the WPUMC work day on Sat., July 10 from 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM: Our congregation has the exciting opportunity to work in this new development in July. Volunteer numbers will be kept small, and Covid safety protocols will continue as directed by the CDC. We reserved 5 spots for Sat., July 10 for our congregation. If more than 5 volunteers want to help, a waiting list will be generated.
  • Volunteer at the Aria site on additional days: In addition to the WPUMC work day in July, further opportunities are available at the Aria site. To accommodate busy schedules, we offer more dates to support this important work. Here are the number of volunteers and dates available: 5 volunteers on Sat. June 26th, 2 volunteers on Sat., July 24th and 5 volunteers on Sat., August 14th
  • Help at the Production Shop on Fri., June 18 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM: The Production Shop is a great way to support Habitat in a climate-controlled setting. Volunteers help with painting or house framing inside a large warehouse. Later, these materials are taken to various Habitat worksites to make the work onsite more efficient.
If you would like to volunteer or want more information, contact Carol Nelson at 303.810.4635 or at customtrainingllc@q.com. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested because slots will fill quickly. I look forward to hearing from you!
