Our welcoming worship service is held each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The service blends traditional and contemporary elements in a family-friendly atmosphere. Messages address real life, engaging hearts and minds within a community of faith that seeks to integrate scripture, tradition, reason and experience.
Traditional aspects of the service include the setting of our beautiful sanctuary, some classical music including traditional hymns, the use of liturgy and a time for silent prayer.
Contemporary elements include a time to share joys and concerns, the family-friendly atmosphere with a cry room for parents and babies (if needed), crayons for kids, children’s time during each service, some contemporary music and the informal conversational style of the sermons.
Messages range from relevant and thought-provoking topics to in-depth study of scripture and Bible stories. United Methodists practice an open communion table where all are welcome and encouraged to share.
