Missons
The Missions Committee at WPUMC has been charged with implementing projects to care for and respond to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs within our Church, the community, and the world at large, insofar as we are able. We strive to involve all ages in these missions opportunities.

WPUMC is involved in a wide variety of Missions Opportunities that range from the Denver metro area, to nationwide, to global involvement. Some examples are:
  • Food Banks through DenUM (Denver Urban Ministry), Denver Inner City Parish, and the Fish Pantry
  • Move-In Baskets and financial support for Urban Peak
  • Financial and service support for Habitat for Humanity thru the Loaves and Fishes coalition of churches
  • Gleaning of the Fields to support food banks in Southern Colorado
  • Supporting Bread for the World in their annual Offering of Letters
  • Financial support for the Kwaze Kwasa Orphanage in South Africa
Future areas of involvement will be:
  • Project Cure
  • Operation Christmas Child
  • Many more are in the works

If you are interested in joining us in the planning and implementation of these projects, or have other ideas for Missions Opportunities, please feel free to join us at the Committee Meetings, held the third Sunday, every other month, right after church. Or leave a message at the Church Office for Katie Wieder that you are interested in joining us.
